Kenyon-Wanamingo takes 3rd place in Class AA

The Kenyon Wanamingo Knights Volleyball team came back on Saturday after a tough 5 set loss to Concordia Academy Roseville, to defeat the Kasson-Mantorville Komets and win the Class AA 3rd place title. 26-28, 25-23, 25-14.

Peyton Suess had 13 kills to lead the Komets and 14 digs, Mara Quam had 17 kills and 15 digs for the Knights.

The Knights ended their season at 34-2. Losing only to Caledonia who took second place in Class A after losing to the Class A Champions, Mayer Lutheran. And their loss on Friday to Concordia Academy Roseville. Kasson-Mantorville ended at 22-13.

The Sviggum Insurance players of the match for the Knights were the 4 seniors, Kassey Dummer, Mara Quam, Megan Flom, and Mia Peterson.

Special Thanks to Bethlehem Academy Coach Franz Boelter, who made his volleyball play by play debut. He gave a different perspective on the match because of his coaching experience.
