Major Minnesota Meth Supplier Shut Down
I've always wanted to publish a book titled "Happy Meth Stories". When people opened the book, they would find all the pages blank. That's about it. No happy meth stories that I've ever heard. It's a horrible drug and can snag anyone regardless of social standing.
This past Monday, the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force executed a warrant on a home in Spring Lake Park and a storage locker. 15.21 pounds of meth, over $73,000 and a .44 magnum hand gun were found.
An Anoka couple, who authorities say were moving large quantities of meth throughout Minnesota. Agents arrested the residents of the home, a 51 year old male and his 51 year old wife. Both were taken into custody and are currently in the Anoka County Jail.
The CEE-VI Task Force was assisted by agents from the Anoka-Hennepin Violent Crimes Enforcement Team, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), and the Spring Lake Park Police.
Commander Ross Ardoff told KARE 11 that meth remains a scourge in communities across the state. He estimates that meth accounts for about 80% of the drug force's activities. "Meth is king out here" he says. "We deal with meth related incidents here every day".
Meth has a way of taking control of one's life. An addict with devote most of their attention to getting money to by more meth. Burglary, robbery and other property crimes are the result.
