As we have hit the home stretch for the school year, many area students are wrapping up this week or next week, it might be the perfect time to welcome in a new pet into your home as a way to celebrate summer. Bentley might just be the perfect fit for your home and your family.

Bentley was rescued by the Mower County Humane Society at the end of October. Shelter volunteer Michaela Tews tells us that Bentley is around 3 or 4 years old as has a lot of years left.

It's a surprise that Bentley is still at the shelter as Michaela told us that Bentley "is an extremely affectionate guy!" Bentley is a cat that would do well with older children in the home as when he gets happy he can nibble a little and that might scare a younger child who doesn't understand that Bentley isn't trying to hurt them.

Also, Michaela tells us that Bentley would be best as the only critter in the home. So, if you’re only able to have one companion then Bentley would be the perfect feline and would love a family of his own.

If you would like to meet Bentley to see if he is the cat for you and your family/home you need to first fill out an application and be approved. Once that happens feel free to make an appointment with the Mower County Humane Society to set up a visit to meet Bentley and his pals. If you find that Bentley is the cat for you, he can be adopted for just $50 with that approved application.

You can find the application and more information about the Humane Society, here.
