This is the time of year where people start to get excited about their tax refund. Some are already planning how to spend the check they get back from the government.  Some aren’t so lucky and will have to pay in. Regardless, of your tax situation the Minnesota government might have money for you. The state government has millions in unclaimed property and finding out if any of it belongs to you is pretty easy.

The Minnesota Department of Commerce says, “Each year millions of dollars and property are turned over to the Unclaimed Property Program by businesses who are unable to contact property owners. These properties may be in the form of cash, stocks, bonds, securities, insurance benefits, etc.”
