Milwaukee (KROC AM News) - The newest bobblehead being offered to Minnesotans is not a player for the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Wild, or any other sports team.

It’s Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has just unveiled a bobblehead of Walz, the first of its kind.

The organization will donate $5 from every Governor Walz Bobblehead sold to the Protect The Heroes fund in support of the 100 Million Mask Challenge. Since early April, the sales of bobbleheads featuring Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Deborah Birx, other Governors and others have raised $275,000 for the fund to provide PPE to the nation’s healthcare workers.

The bobbleheads are only available through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store. They are $25 each plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order and are expected to ship in January.

According to the organization:
From face masks to distance learning to business operations, Walz has set rules to try to limit the spread of the coronavirus, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. On May 26, the day after the killing of George Floyd, Walz demanded justice and called the video of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on Floyd’s neck “disturbing.” Walz, who ordered the Minnesota state legislature to reconvene for a special session on legislation for police reform and accountability, said, “The lack of humanity in this disturbing video is sickening. We will get answers and seek justice.”

"During these unprecedented times, we want to continue to raise funds for an amazing cause while putting a smile on people’s faces with bobbleheads,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “We received a lot of requests to make a bobblehead of Governor Walz and other governors who have been instrumental in the continued fight against COVID-19, so we’re excited to be releasing his bobblehead today.”
