When you think of Faribault you probably automatically think about the Woolen Mill, Shattuck, the Alexander Faribault house...but what about the Hudson Wilson Mansion? The mansion is currently running as a Bed and Breakfast, and it's currently for sale. The home, according to the Rice County Historical Society, "combines a number of architectural styles in vogue at the turn of the century, this house is one of the most intact examples of local architect Olof Hanson’s residential design."

Hanson designed the house for his long time friend, Jonathan Noyes, who served as superintendent of the State School for the Deaf from 1866-1896. The deaf Hanson graduated from the school in 1881.

The house is up for sale for $425,000, and features 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and according to the listing by Marissa Babcock of Faribault Weichert Realtors - Heartland "The grand foyer with 10' tall double doors and curved stairway is a setting out of a movie!" The home is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places so it's not going to change or go away anytime soon.
