Thursday's Power 96 Cool One came from Meat Loaf's September 4, 1981, album, Dead Ringer. This is the second of of three albums that were written by composer, lyricist and record producer Jim Steinman. I chose to feature the single "Peel Out," which, unfortunately for Meat Loaf, did not chart. The album topped out at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 45 on the U.S. Billboard 200. Three other singles were issued from Dead Ringer, "Dead Ringer for Love" (with Cher) made it to No. 5 in the UK but failed to chart in the U.S., "I'm Gonna Love Her for Both of Us" charted at No. 62 in the UK and No. 84 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and "Read 'Em and Weep," which also was a dud on the charts.

Please join me this afternoon at 4:35PM for the next Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault.
