The latest Rice County Public Health Department rundown of COVID-19 cases still shows the vast majority of positive test results are in Faribault residents.  773 of the 940 total cumulative cases are residents in the Faribault zip code.

That's 82.2% of the total while Northfield has 126 in the Rice County portion or 13.4%.  Lonsdale has had 14 total cases and the remainder of the county 27.  A portion of Northfield is in Dakota County.

Total cases age range is from 2 months to 97 years of age with the average age 36.7.  574 men and 366 women have tested positive since January of this year.  The first case was reported March 18th in Rice County while the first case in Minnesota was March 6th.

42 of the 940 cases required hospitalization ranging in age from 2 months to 91 years of age.  The average age 49.7.  11 of the 42 hospitalized individuals had serious enough cases to require intensive care ranging in age from 2 months to 91 years old.  Average age 56.6.

8 deaths have been reported in Rice County.  The average age of those people 66.

Goodhue County reports 155 total cases as of July 24, 2020 with 12 active cases.  Patients no longer needing isolation 135.  Patients requiring hospitalization 11 with 5 of those individuals serious enough to be in intensive care.  There are no Goodhue County residents currently hospitalized.
