It was a very successful Rice County 4-H Livestock Auction Saturday morning. It began with a complementary buyers breakfast served by the Rice County 4-H at 8:30. The auction began a little before 9:30. About 10:30 or 11:00 Rice County Fair Manager John Dvorak came in and informed everyone we were in a severe thunderstorm warning and we should all stay in the Livestock Show Arena as it was a cement block building.

Saturday afternoon I stopped by the Rice County Extension Office on the Fairgrounds and asked about the Auction. Rice County 4-H Program Coordinator Kelly Chadwick said they did not have all the final numbers but it looked like it was one of the better auctions in the last few years. Thank You to everyone that came and supported the Rice County 4-H Program this morning!

In the picture is the wash area where 4-H members can wash their livestock before their show or the Livestock Auction.
