According to the State Patrol Capt. Jason Bartell, three children were injured and taken to North Memorial Hospital, when a vehicle being pursued crashed in Bohanon Park in North Minneapolis.

According to the State Patrol, around 9:30 Monday morning a trooper was attempting a traffic stop on I-94 on the suspect who was in a large suv. The suspect left I-94 at 53rd avenue north. Continued through the neighborhoods and crashing in the park which is located at 50th and Bryant. He crashed into some playground equipment where it is presumed he injured the children. The report identifies the children as  4-year-old Lillianna Lee Peltier and 2-year-old Kayden Jay Peltier suffered what were termed as life-threatening injuries. Konnor Jace Peltier, 3, has injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The suspect fled the vehicle, and was chased by troopers on foot, caught and arrested. In the scuffle the troopers received some minor injuries.

A gun was also reportedly recovered at the scene.

The investigation is still active.
