The Triton basketball programs will host 'Shooting for a Cure' Friday, January 26 as a fundraising event for cancer. Seven basketball teams play at home Friday in Dodge Center, including both the boys' and girls' varsity teams.

Activities begin at 4:30PM with 7th grade girls' basketball and the c-squad boys' game. The 8th grade girls and both junior varsity teams will follow. The evening features the varsity games as a back-to-back doubleheader. The Cobra girls face HVL rival Kenyon-Wanamingo at 5:45PM with the boys against Randolph at 7:15PM.

Fundraising will include a silent auction and raffle plus t-shirt and stocking cap sales according to the Triton schools home page. Open gym with games and contests will follow the varsity games and continue until 11PM. Proceeds will be donated within the region to battle cancer.

On a related note, the Dodge County girls' hockey team will have a cancer fundraiser Friday night as well during their game against Eastview at Four Seasons Arena in Kasson. The junior varsity plays at 5:15PM with the varsity to follow at 7PM.
