Want Historic Minnesota? Southeast Minnesota Has You Covered
With all of the fortune 500 companies in Minnesota, we often forget that Minnesota is very historic, too. Here a few places to check out if you want that historic feel back for a few hours.
Only In Your State recapped 12 total places to check out if you want to relive Minnesota's history, and three of them were right in Southeast Minnesota.
First on their list was Wabasha, which of course is known for Grumpy Old Men. Wabasha is one of the earliest settled towns in Minnesota. Here is what Only In Your State had to say about it.
"Here's another river town with a long history. Platted in 1854, it is one of the oldest towns in Minnesota. Stroll down the downtown streets to take in the historic architecture that lines them. You will be taken back in time to a time when life in Minnesota was a lot more simple."
Historic Forestville is also on the list, and is snugged near Preston and Spring Valley and gives you a feel of what life was like 100 years ago. Check out Only In Your State's breakdown.
