The Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers fastpitch team defeated Faribault Bethlehem Academy 9-1 Thursday to remain unbeaten this spring.  Gloria Cortez and Addyson Taylor combined to allow 5 hits by BA while sophomore Kate Trump threw for the Cardinals.

Trump allowed 9 hits, 9 runs, all earned, walked 2 and struck out 10.

Cortez and Taylor did not walk a single batter.  Taylor had 3 strikeouts.

Senior Lindsay Condon clubbed a home run in the 4 run third inning.

Senior Brielle Bartelt had 3 hits, Condon 2 hits, senior Ellie Ready 2 hits.

The Buccaneers had 1 error, Cardinals no errors in the game.

Waterville-Elysian- Morristown is 3-0 and plays in a tournament at Randolph Saturday.

Their schedule says they play Randolph at 10:30 a.m. and Visitation at 12:30 p.m.

Bethlehem Academy is 2-2, hosts Mayer Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. Friday then travels to Hayfield Monday at 4:30 p.m.

The four hits for the Cardinals were smacked by Kate Trump, a double.  Eighth grader Anna Tobin scored the only run and had a hit.  Lindsay Hanson, Anna DeMars and Malia Hunt had the other hits.
