Weekend Roundup September 30-Oct 2

The weekend is here, and after a couple weeks ago when the rain seemed likely to never end, we have been rewarded with a picture perfect fall day and a fantastic forecast for the weekend. Today hit 73 degrees with abundant sunshine and tomorrow is slated for 67 with partly cloudy skies, lows around 50, and nothing but sunshine and 70 on Sunday! Like I said, a seriously great forecast.

In the Faribault area this weekend, you'll find:

• The Faribault High School Homecoming Game at Bruce Smith Field at 7PM. Listen to the game on 95.9 FM Power 96, or online at Power96radio.com.
• Kenyon Wanamingo takes on Medford in football on 920KDHL at 6:45PM and online at KDHLradio.com
• Saturday morning is an electronics recycling day open to all Rice County residents at the Rice County Fairgrounds in Faribault,1814 Second Ave. N.W., on the north end of town from 8AM to noon.
• Nerstrand United Methodist is having their Fall Festival on Saturday.
• Church of St. Patrick in Shieldsville hosts their fall festival  on Sunday.
• Immaculate Conception near Kellogg hosts their fall dinner on Sunday.
• This weather is perfect to get out and enjoy the area parks and the River Bend Nature Center!
