Calling All Rice County Musicians

Are you a musician and a current or past resident of Rice County? Well, the Rice County Historical Society is looking for your input during their Rice County brainstorming meeting on Saturday, January 7, from 2-4PM. They're specifically looking for all professional musicians who live in or are from Rice County, whether in the past or present. If you've played for money, they're looking for you.

They plan on sitting down to discuss the history of dance halls, supper clubs, honky-tonks and bars and the musicians and bands that have hailed from Rice County, past and present.

Unfortunately this doesn't include church groups, organizational or school bands. You are invited to attend if you're related to to a former Rice County musician that has passed away and would like to share some relevant information from their musical history.
