Saturday afternoon the at Northfield High School the Raiders and the Falcon girls and boys basketball teams met up. It's always a bit of an emotional event. Tensions began to run a bit high at moments in both games. But Northfield won both the battles 65-58 on the boys game and 60-24 on the girls game.

In the first game, Northfield got the scoring going first but Faribault came back and had the led for a good portion of the half but they were down three to the Raiders 27-24 at halftime.

Kade Hart had 19 and Cody Ehlers had 13 to lead the Falcons. They were the State Farm Insurance Agents of Faribault players of the game. Alex Rasmussen lead Northfield with 24, Hunter Koep had 15, Nicolas Zabel had 11 and Carter Hodapp, 10.

Faribault falls to 9-4. They will host the Winona Winhawks on Tuesday. Northfield goes to 9-5 and will travel to Owatonna on Tuesday.

In the girl's game, Northfield got out to a big lead before the Falcons got on the board and never looked back. Much like they did when the two teams met in December. Madison Rendler lead the scoring and was the State Farm Insurance Agents of Faribault player of the game.

Northfield goes to 13-3 and will host Owatonna on Tuesday. Faribault falls to 8-9 and travels to Winona on Tuesday.
