Adoptable Pair Of Hounds Looking For A New Home, Will It Be Yours?

This week's adoptable animal of the week is actually a two-for-one kind of a deal. This week we have a pair of bonded hound mixes, Drew and Orson, who are looking to be adopted, and it would be preferable if they could be adopted together. Better yet, together and this week, as the weather is getting nicer.

Drew and Orson came to the Mower County Humane Society after the folks over at Rescue Network were looking to find them a home. According to our friend and volunteer Michaela Tews at the Mower County Humane Society, the two dogs were just "a pair of a lot of dogs found running loose on a property after the owner was found deceased." All of those dogs rescued seemed to be a mix primarily of a hound/hunting type.

Michaela added that "Drew is very shy and very attached to his buddy Orson so we are requiring that they be adopted together. They are really a lot of fun together. Both boys are fully vetted and the fee for both of them is $250."

Both dogs will also need a patient family to work with them on being on a leash and some basic obedience training. Michaela also told us that the home right for them should have a fenced-in back yard, that the gate securely closes, as these two boys like to get out and roam from time to time.

Both Drew and Orson are "smart boys" and are looking for an experienced adult-only home. Teens are fine.
