A Faribault business is looking forward to having a bash this weekend, outdoors and in accordance with the latest Executive Order given by Governor Walz on Wednesday. Bashers Bar & Grill/Fairbowl Center will be opening up their back patio from 3-9pm this Saturday and will be slinging drinks and serving food.

If you plan on going, dress for the weather as it's going to be outside. There will be some fire pits and patio heaters out to help keep folks warm too. Also if you are heading to the 'Winter Patio Bash' as Bashers's has called it, bring along a lawnchair for you to sit on.

The event encourages those coming, to wear masks and to social distance, with a limit of 4 people to a table.

Businesses like Basher's are having to get creative for business as bars and restaurants are still not allowed under the most recent Executive Order to offer indoor dining to customers. Take out and carry-out are allowed, so you can still go in to get your order.

I can't blame a business for trying to make lemons out of lemonade. You can see the frustrations on the restaurant owners' faces in the video below. The video is the press conference from yesterday that featured two area restaurant owners from around the area sharing their thoughts on the latest Executive Order. Featured in the video are Oscar Mazariego, Lava Burgers in Owatonna, Jeff LaBeau, Depot Bar & Grill Faribault, and Nort Johnson of the Faribault-Area Chamber of Commerce.

Tony Chesak with the Minnesota License Beverage Association, states in the video, that in a poll recently completed by the association "84% of the on-premise businesses won't be here in the next 90-days if things don't change."
