Faribault Virtues Trail Grand Opening is Wednesday
We are all invited to the Grand Opening of Virtues Trail in Heritage Bluffs Park in Faribault Wednesday evening. The event will take place from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The Virtues Trail between The Depot and new Crooked Pint restaurants will feature mirrored signs with virtue affirmations in three languages. Funding for the project is through the Artist on Main Street grants from the Faribault Main Street Program, a program of the Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.
Local artist, Wanda Holmgren who developed the project and managed the installation and Cindy Diessner, also a developer of the project will be on our KDHL AM Minnesota program 9:30 a.m. today
Holmgren is a Roosevelt Elementary Art Teacher. May local businesses and volunteers assisted and will be recognized at the grand opening which will include:
- 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Food catered by The Depot, beverages provided by The Diversity Coalition, music by Mike Hildebrandt, Dee Musselman and Doug Madow
- 6:30 p.m. Short program and dedication
- 7:30 p.m. Celebration concludes
One of the primary messages of The Virtues Project in Faribault is that these character traits are in all of us and it's up to us to see, acknowledge and help others find the best in one another.
