Minnesota Has One of The Best School Systems in the U.S.

While we are all awaiting the news on July 30th about what plan Minnesota schools will follow. One thing is for certain, no matter if it's in person or online, Minnesota students receive some of the best teachings in the Nation.

Minnesota comes in at 7th out of the 51 total school systems polled. According to the recent WalletHub study, they used 33 key measures of quality and safety. The data ranges from student-teacher ratio, drop out rate, median standardized test scores and school closures due to COVID-19.

Quality & Safety of Schools in Minnesota (1=Best; 25=Avg.):

• 2^nd – Math Test Scores
• 18^th – Reading Test Scores
• 1^st – Median SAT Score
• 22^nd – Median ACT Score
• 26^th – % of Licensed/Certified Public K–12 Teachers
• 1^st – Statewide School Closure due to COVID-19

The States ahead of Minnesota in school rankings are, New Hampshire (6), Vermont (5), Virginia (4), New Jersey (3), Connecticut (2), and Massachusetts (1). The worst five states for education are New Mexico (51), Louisiana (50), Arizona (49), Alaska (48), and Oklahoma (47).
