The Chisago County Sheriff's Office is at it again! The always clever and social media savvy Sheriff's Office posted to their Facebook account this morning a reminder to Minnesota drivers who end up putting their license tabs on backward.

The post is a picture of the piece of paper your license plate tabs come on with the remainder to adhere the tabs correctly.

"We don't know who needs to hear this but...

...some of you out there need to follow these instructions. We know who you are."

As you can see from the picture, the month goes on the left, while the year goes on the right. Speaking of tabs, how about that grace period for renewing your license tabs? There isn't one for purchasing your tabs, but there is for affixing your tabs to your license plate. Here is what the Minnesota Department of Public Safety has to say about license plate tabs and their expiration.

"Expiration: The month of expiration is shown on the sticker affixed to the lower left corner of the plate and the year of expiration is shown on the sticker affixed to the lower right corner of the plate.

Registration must be purchased by the last day of the expiration month and must be affixed and displayed on the license plate within 10 days following the last day of the registration month."
