Waterville Man Killed In Owatonna Lift Accident Monday

A lift accident at the construction site of a Costco Distribution Center has resulted in the Death of a Le Sueur County Man.

According to the Press Release, on August 10th at approximately 7:31am, the Owatonna Police Department reported to 3601 10th Street SW in Owatonna due to a report of a male who had fallen off a lift. The location of the accident was at the construction side of the Costco Distribution Center.

Upon arrival, the responding officers located the adult male who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male was identified as George McIntosh, 62, of Waterville.

The death investigation is still ongoing at this time.

The Owatonna Police Department was assisted by the Steele County Sheriff’s Office, Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service and the Steele County Coroner’s Office.
