In an effort to eat healthier, and more coincidence of the whole COVID-19 pandemic, my wife and I have started a small indoor garden that we plan on moving outside once the weather warms to the point of plant survival.

Part of the idea behind growing some herbs and vegetables was to cut back on what we had planned to buy in-store this spring and summer. The other part behind growing some of our own herbs and vegetables was to put in a small garden in our backyard as a summer project.

So far we've started growing basil, eggplant, tomatoes, thyme, and cucumbers. We are working on establishing some bell peppers as well. I'll try and update you on our progress as the spring and summer go along.

The contraption that is helping us grow these plants is a Miracle-Gro Aero-Garden that we got as a wedding gift from my sister. They are really practical for starting plants off or growing fresh food year-round.

Here's hoping to a bountiful harvest of fresh vegetables and herbs, warm sunshine, and plenty of time outdoors over the next few weeks and months.
