I was born and raised on the north side of Minneapolis. My first radio job was at a Mom and Pop radio station in Aitkin, Minn., where I had duties as the night DJ/janitor and went on to become Program/Sports Director for an AM/FM Combo. Took a break from radio from 1993 to 2006. I then came here in December 2006 and moved up to afternoons in 2007. Then did early mornings from 2008-2013. And have hosted the morning news hours and done the midday show since then. I am a big Twins and Vikings fan. Basketball and football are my favorite sports to do play by play. I like fishing, especially ice fishing, and I spend a lot of time in playing the part of an 1840s buck skinner at various Rendezvous around the state. I enjoy talking to people about our stations so feel free to share comments.
A Story Of A Simpler Time And Wine
For the second year now I have done one of my fur trade era re-enactment camps up near Lake Mille Lacs. It happens in conjunction with the Mille Lacs County Historical Society. This year our group was hosted by the wonderful people that run the DeCorsa Vineyard and Farm Winery near Isle, MN.
Minnesota River Rising Means Some Traffic Issues
On Sunday the Scott County Sheriff's office closed the bridge over the Minnesota River in Jordan. They also announced that the Minnesota Department of Transportation would close the Highway 41 Minnesota River bridge at 9 a.m. Tuesday due to flooding.

Tanaisha Latriece Tennin was located in Bloomington on Monday afternoon. She had left her Brooklyn Park home after an argument with her mother at 3 am on Monday. A neighbor happened to be at a clinic for an appointment when she said she saw the girl sitting on a curb.
Dakota County Crash Kills Two Fathers
Saturday night a crash in Vermillion Township in Dakota County, claimed the life of two fathers. It happened at the intersection of Goodwin Avenue and 190th Street East.

A heat advisory is in effect for much of south central Minnesota and now a Flash Flood Watch is out for Mille Lacs-Kanabec-Sherburne-Isanti-Chisago-Wright-Hennepin-Anoka-Ramsey-Washington-Dakota and Goodhue counties.
Great Heritage Days Parade In Faribault And Night In Medford
Even with the heat and humidity, tons of people turned out for the Heritage Days Parade in Faribault. We quickly found out that the large amount of candy we had brought was not enough for all the kids. But we were early in the parade this year so I am sure many units after us had candy.

Another Great Free Community Lunch And More Heritage Days Events
