Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce President Kymn Anderson and Community Marketing Director Nort Johnson stop by KDHL for AM Minnesota today. The show begins at 9:30AM.

If you can't join us then, view the program later today at www.youtube.com/user/KDHLRadio.

We have a lot of information to cover.

This evening the City of Faribault and Minnesota Department of Transportation are hosting an open house at the Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism office, 530 Wilson Ave.

We are all invited to provide input on the proposed project to improve HIghway 60 from Central Avenue to Lyndale Avenue, with work scheduled to start in 2019.

The elements of the project include:

  • Complete pavement reconstruction
  • Pavement resurfacing
  • Replacement of traffic signals
  • Upgrade of lighting
  • Sidewalk improvements and ADA accessibility upgrades
  • Complete utility replacement

The open house will be from 4-6PM.

The Y-Pro Chamber group is sponsoring a Pizza and Politics: Meet the Candidates event at South Central College in the Conference Room tomorrow over the noon hour.

This is part of the Y-Pro "Lunch and Learn" series, but all of us are invited to meet the candidates.

We will also get details about the Fall Festival this weekend in downtown Faribault, which will include a costume parade for the kids.
