The Rice County Fairgrounds in Faribault will be bustling with activity Saturday, May 15, 2021.  The Historical Society Museum is having a flea market.

There will also be a Farmer's Market and Food Trucks for people to enjoy some food either onsite or to go.

Susan Garwood, Historical Society Executive Director and Board Chair Brian Schmitz joined us on today's KDHL AM Minnesota program.

Schmitz tells listeners the flea market will be from 8 to 2 outside the Museum at 1814 2nd Avenue NW.  Approximately 50 vendors will be selling antiques, collectibles, tools, a vendor will be scores of car parts.  Crafted wood benches, scented candles.  Schmitz says, "Basically there's something for everyone at the Flea Market."

The Cannon Valley Farmer's Market will be under the pavillion west of the museum from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  They'll have baked goods, cheese, honey, jam, eggs, maple syrup and vegetables.

The Food Trucks will be on the Fairgrounds from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Schmitz says there will be seven food trucks including Lopez Concessions, Caveman Grilling, Delicious Potatoes, Schroder and Temple Concessions.

Garwood says the Rice County Fairgrounds will be, "A great place to be.  I think we're all hungry to be out among other people and doing the things that remind us of the normal that was just a year ago.  Or two years ago really.  It's fun to be able to be with people again."
