Power 96 Cool One Recap: Aerosmith

The Power 96 Cool One I chose for Thursday was Aerosmith's "Jaded" from their 13th studio album, Just Push Play. The first time I heard this song was during the halftime show of Super Bowl XXXV in January 2001, although the album didn't hit the streets until March 2001. I liked the punch of this song right away and bought their album when it came out. The video is worth a look and stars Mila Kunis.

"Jaded" performed well for the band, topping out at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, No. 6 on the Top 40 Mainstream chart and No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. Although it wasn't a No. 1 hit for them, the album peaked at No. 2 on the U.S Billboard 200 and Canadian Albums chart and No. 7 in the UK.
