I was enjoying some time off last week with my grandkids and burning up a little vacation time before the end of the year, so I wasn't able to recap the Power 96 Cool Ones that I had chosen. So here they are in order:

On Monday I played Billy Gibbons and the BFG's "Treat Her Right," taken from his recently released solo effort Perfectamundo.

Tuesday from Metallica's sixth studio album, Load, I served up "King Nothing."

Wednesday I tracked one of my favorites, Kim Mitchell's 1985 hit "Go for a Soda" from Akimbo Alogo.

Thursday I featured Zakk Wylde's band, Black Label Society, and "Concrete Jungle" from their album Shot to Hell.

Friday it was blues rockers Dirty Streets with "White Horse," the title track off their November 27 release.

Check out today's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault, at 4:35PM when I feature a group in which the members all adopted the same last name, which was also the name of the band.
