Last week was a crazy week. I took a vacation day on Monday, called in sick on Tuesday and enjoyed taking Friday off for the New Year holiday. During all this, I tried to work in as many new Power 96 Cool Ones that I could.

On Monday I tracked David Lee Roth's "Knucklebones" from his second full-length solo effort, Skyscraper. Released in January 1988, the album peaked at No. 6 on the U.S. Billboard 200 while the single went to No. 45 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

Tuesday's Cool One was an encore from Christmas Eve Day that featured '80s hair band Danger Danger and their single "Naughty Naughty" from their self-titled 1989 Epic Records release. Naughty Naughty failed to crack the charts but the album managed to make a showing lodging itself at No. 88 on the U.S. Billboard 200.

Wednesday brought you the Netherland's glam metal band, the Sleeze Beez and their MTV hit "Stranger Than Paradise" from 1990's Screwed Blewed and Tattooed.

On New Year's Eve Day I went with Power96Radio.com VIP request from listener Neal Rado. This is a tune I've used a couple of times before as a Cool One and it's one of my favorite tunes by a band that most people probably never heard of. The band is called Salty Dog and the track was "Come Along" from their one-off album Every Dog Has It's Day. If you can get your hands on a cheap copy of this, buy it immediately. It appears to out of print and any copies that are around aren't cheap.

On New Year's Day I took a break from the Cool Ones, but make sure you join me this afternoon at 4:35PM for the next Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault.
