Yesterday's Power 96 Cool One was Savoy Brown's "Street Corner Talking," the title track from their seventh studio album. Better remembered for their No. 83 Billboard Hot 100 single, "Tell Mama," the album managed to make it to No. 75 on the U.S. Billboard 200 in 1971.

Savoy Brown are a blues rock band that formed in England in 1965. Originally known as the Savoy Brown Blues Band, they were more successful in the United States than in their native country. Which is a pity, as they produced several very good albums but were plagued by numerous line-up changes which included at times, future Yes drummer Bill Bruford and future Foghat lead singer Dave Peverett, among others.

Join me tomorrow at 4:35PM for another Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault. Make sure you you join us after your Thanksgiving meal when Power 96 presents Led Zeppelin: Now and Then at 1PM, following a Whole Lotta Lunch at noon.
