Tuesday's Power 96 Cool came from Minneapolis alternative/punk rock band The Suburbs. The track I chose to highlight was "Rattle My Bones" from their March 1984 release, Love Is the Law.

Formed in 1977, The Suburbs, were a very popular local band but didn't see any national recognition until the early to mid-80s. At one point they opened for major acts such as Iggy Pop and the B-52's. They broke up in 1987 but have reunited on and off over the years. You might remember the title track from Love Is the Law was used as a theme song for the same sex marriage movement in Minnesota before the bill was finally signed in 2013. Members of the band along with Mayor Chris Coleman performed the song during a celebration of the passage of the bill in downtown St Paul.

Check in at 4:35PM this afternoon for the next Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault.
