The Whitesidewalls Rocked the Rice County Fair
Wow, what another fantastic night out at the Rice County Fair in Faribault. Our booth is in the perfect spot to catch all the big free shows on the Midway Stage. Last night's show will be hard to top with a get up and dance performance of oldies rockers The Whitesidewalls. These guys have been performing since as far back as I can remember. My wife and I used to go see them performing all over the place back in the early years of our marriage (before kids). They always put on a great show and the years since then haven't slowed them down one bit.
The Whitesidewalls are always a great draw at the Rice County Fair, and this year was no exception. With the sun shining and no sight of rain, the seating area in front of the Midway Stage started filling up quickly around 5:30PM as fairgoers tried to find a good spot to sit and enjoy some of their favorite doo-wop, rockabilly and classic oldie tunes. These guys are so good, if you close your eyes, it sounds like the original artists are actually there. The dance floor in front of the stage never seemed to empty as dancers continuously strolled up there to shake their booties to the music. The show started at 7PM and the band worked tirelessly to entertain the crowd before wrapping it up three hours later at 10PM.
Tonight's performer will pack them in again as Brad Boice: Elvis Impersonator takes you through rock 'n' roll time with the music of music icon Elvis Presley starting at 7PM on the Midway Stage. Get there early to get a good seat and be ready to dance.
There are a ton of other free shows throughout the Rice County Fair and you can find out more here:
